Together, the essentials create comfort, balance and an unmistakable sense of arrival.
The breathable foundation and the layer closest to your skin.
Lofted warmth for a softer, more inviting bed.
A lighter layer with a tailored, structured presence.
Personalised support for the head, neck and shoulders.
The softness of Astara, carried beyond the bed.
The bed is a place
It is where mornings begin slowly, conversations continue after the lights go out and the familiar becomes restorative. Astara considers every layer so that this everyday place feels quietly exceptional.
Know every layer
A considered bed is not defined by how many layers it has, but by how thoughtfully each one is chosen.
The foundation closest to your skin. A fitted sheet creates a smooth surface; a flat sheet adds breathability; pillowcases complete the tactile experience.
Every-night comfortA soft outer shell and insulating fill create loft, warmth and volume. Use alone or inside a duvet cover for styling flexibility.
Plush warmthMultiple stitched layers create lighter warmth and a tailored silhouette. Spread across the bed, fold at the foot or layer beneath a comforter.
Light structureSoft offers a lower profile, medium balances most preferences and firm provides greater elevation and structure.
Personal supportAbsorbent, soft and generously proportioned bath linen carries Astara comfort beyond the bedroom.

Explore how weave changes touch, drape, temperature and the way light travels across the bed.
Crisp · Cool · Impeccably fresh
A balanced one-over-one-under weave gives percale its matte finish, clean structure and natural breathability.
The fibre library
Fibre gives bedding its natural character. The weave then shapes how that character feels, drapes and performs.
Selected long-staple fibres can be spun into finer, smoother yarns, creating a soft hand feel with enduring strength.
Smooth · Refined · Long-lastingPremium American-grown Pima cotton with extra-long fibres, valued for softness, strength and lasting colour.
Exceptional softness · DurableWoven from flax, linen is breathable, tactile and naturally expressive. It becomes softer and more personal with use.
Airy · Textured · RelaxedCotton grown to certified agricultural standards, paired with considered processing for natural, breathable comfort.
Soft · Breathable · ConsideredKnown for fluid drape, a gentle hand feel and effective moisture management—smooth without unnecessary heaviness.
Fluid · Cool-touch · GentleUnderstanding weaves
Weave describes how yarns cross one another. It determines whether cotton feels crisp, silken, textured or substantial.
The construction changes touch, appearance, airflow and drape.
There is no universal best—only the weave that suits your temperature and tactile preference.
Sateen, not satin: in cotton bedding, sateen is the accurate term for the smooth, softly lustrous weave.
Understanding thread count
Thread count is the number of horizontal and vertical threads woven into one square inch. Fibre quality, yarn construction, weave and finishing matter just as much.
The ideal thread count is not necessarily the highest. It is the one that creates the airflow, touch and weight you prefer.
Smooth and more substantial, with a polished hand feel. Ideal for premium everyday bedding.
The quick guide
| Your preference | Recommended weave | Thread count | Character |

A beautifully considered bed is built layer by layer, then softened with one effortless finishing gesture.
Smooth the fitted sheet securely over the mattress.
Place the finished side down so its detail appears when folded back.
Add a quilt for structure or a comforter for softness.
Arrange sleeping pillows first, followed by shams and one accent.
Let a throw fall naturally across the foot or lower corner.
